Something that tastes horrible may be bad for you. A study has found that high consumption of Tofu correlates with a high incidence of dementia among Indosesian old people who eat it; or it could be the fomaldehyde used to prepare it.
Fermented soy however may be good for your memory.

The study focused on 719 elderly Indonesians living in urban and rural regions of Java.
The researchers found high tofu consumption - at least once a day - was associated with worse memory, particularly among the over-68s.
